Crochet Summer Cover Up-Crochet Beach Wear Pattern
Is it sunny yet where you are? In fact, how sunny is it? Sunny or not, this Crochet Summer Cover Up is a pattern you will want to make; not only is it great for summer wear, it is also a stylish layer that’s easy to wear.

If you saw my last post, the Leaf Lace Shawl, you would notice that the stitch pattern seems similar to this one. However it is quite different, while the former is complex (don’t be scared now, it is absolutely doable), the stitch pattern on this Crochet Beach Wear is simple and easy to memorise.

Depending on how hot it is where you are, the summer season requires less clothing, and if you are like me who loves to wear camisoles and spaghetti strap tops and dresses but don’t wear them outside my home, this Crochet Cover-Up is a lovely way to dress comfortably yet decently in public.
Not only that, this Crochet ruana is a handy beach wear layer, and I really hope you enjoy making and wearing it.
YARN
I have used Lion Brand Beautiful You; a sport weight yarn, for the Crochet Summer Cover Up pattern. Even though it took a little over two weeks to complete, it is a quick project using that kind of yarn weight. I know makers tend to go for faster projects with heavier yarn weights, but I hope to encourage more makers to use lighter weight yarns too, and you can start small with the Beautiful You Scarf.
Unfortunately, the Lion Brand Beautiful You yarn has been discontinued, so if you shop for yarn online, you can take your pick from the offers on Lovecraftscom. They have some really beautiful options there and they often have sales too. Take a look!
The pattern here is written for small size (bust size 30-36), however you can find more photos and adjustments for Medium and Larger sizes in the printable pattern in my shops below:
