One of the things I like designing is patterns that fit many sizes, even better is if it is just one size that fits many. This crochet headband for girls and women is a gem to crochet.

Of course, the most sizes this headband fits does not include baby, however, it does fit child to adult head sizes. After the piece is made, the result is a thick and long piece of fabric to tie around the head.
HOW TO CROCHET THE ONE SIZE HEADBAND
The pattern starts with a chain of 2 then increases at the sides to form a strip of tie, from there we add more chains to widen the body of the headband. Crochet as long as the pattern directs or the length desired then we begin to decrease the second tie end to match the one at the beginning.
Once we complete that we go to the next step where we sew the open flaps closed to form the thick body. We turn it inside out, sew the ties closed to the body and we are done.

THE YARN
You can use ANY yarn of choice in DK weight for this headband, but I would recommend cotton yarn. The one size fits most uses cotton yarn, which is a great choice as it brings out the texture in the headband. Not only that, the body of the headband is a little thick so using cotton yarn allows for breathability (ability of a garment to allow perspiration/moisture vapour to pass through).
The one size fits most headband is done with lion brand 247 cotton yarn, a fan-favourite mercerized cotton yarn in DK weight. The sheen and smoothness of the yarn makes it glide smoothly on your hook and enhance texture.
