Hello Craftees, I have a new pattern to share with you. You will find this bucket hat crochet an easy pattern to crochet. Not only does it use only one stitch pattern throughout, there are NO JOINS.

This bucket hat crochet pattern is worked in spiral round, that means that at the end of each round, instead of joining to the first stitch, you just carry-on with the second round in the next stitch.
This pattern is part of the Christmas in July Crochet-along by The Underground Crafter. There are many patterns to explore in this crochet-along, and you can support by joining along, as there are many designs to choose from.
CONSTRUCTION
The crochet sun hat is continuous rounds and uses only one stitch throughout. This make it a good pattern for crochet beginners who want to work on slightly bigger projects that are simple and easy to make.
This crochet hat pattern uses Double Crochet stitch. You can also check out the Pretty in Spring Crochet Bucket Hat which uses a similar working in the round pattern, but with Single Crochet stitches.
How Long Will it Take?
This is a crochet hat pattern that can be completed in a day if one committed their whole time to it. However, it would normally take two to three days or maybe a week if one took their time with it.

BUCKET HAT CROCHET PATTERN FOR BEGINNERS
Hat diameter on last increase round– 7 inches
Size to fit (head circumference):
Adult (medium to large) 22-23” – 23-24”
Guage: Round 7 diameter = 4”

Materials:
- 270-300mtrs, YarnArt Cotton Fusion, fingering weight yarn. See Adjustment notes.
- 4.mm hook
- Tapestry Needle
- Stitch markers (use hairpins as substitute)
Stitches/Abbreviation:
- DC- double crochet
- CH- chain
Notes:
- The Pattern uses U.S terms
- It is worked in a spiral round, that means no joining or chain 1 at the end of every round.
- Very Important– Place stitch marker at all times into the last st of every round.
- This pattern is only one size.
Adjustment Notes:
-The YarnArt Cotton Fusion used for this pattern feels like DK weight yarn. However, it has been labelled as fingering weight.
– Using 4mm hook with the YarnArt Cotton Fusion produces a loose fabric. If you would like your hat to have tighter stitching, I recommend using a 3.5mm hook.
– I also recommend using DK cotton weight yarn, should you need to substitute. However, use the gauge as a guide for your increase rounds. The same hook sizes will work out well too. 3.5mm for tighter stitches, 4mm for loose stitching.
– Should you want to make this hat in a smaller size, you will reduce the number of increase rounds. Look out for that on the rounds as you crochet.
