When I first published this headband pattern, it had no name. I later decided to name it Ridges, it mimics the texture from the post stitches on the headband.
I had first used this yarn to crochet a beanie for my spouse. Seeing as he had no love for it, I decided to unravel it and make this chunky headband. I must say that was a good decision because I was able to crochet two headbands from the yarn.

Once you get the hang of the Ridges crochet headband pattern, you will find it flying off your hook. It is such a quick crochet headband pattern to make, give or take you can complete one in thirty minutes or less. It also has a bit of texture, just like the 45 minutes chunky crochet earwarmer.
HOW TO CROCHET THE RIDGES CHUNKY CROCHET HEADBAND
The Ridges chunky crochet headband is an advanced beginner pattern because it uses post stitches. It is made in three rounds and in one piece. Hurray! No sewing needed, except for the buttons.
The first round starts with chains, which will be worked into, after the last chain you will turn the row upside down (not opposite as if you were going to work in rows), you will crochet under each of the chains to the end of the row. On round two you will be making the post stitches, and on round three the finishing touch.

This headband pattern is a perfect addition to my winter crochet project list. Do you have any tips for adding embellishments, like buttons or flowers, to personalize it?
The pattern already provides space for a button, I’m not certain how else you can embellish it seeing as it might be ‘too much’?
