I made these chunky crochet earwarmers as a guest post on Oombawka Crochet blog. Guest posting is such a great opportunity to ‘put myself out there’ and connect with more yarn craft lover, and I am so grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to guest post. Did you see my first guest post as Yarn Craftee UndergroundCrafter blog?
This chunky earwarmer is such a edgy accessory this cool season. It is quick and relatively easy to make. I say relatively because you need to pay attention to the stitches at the end and beginning of the rows.
The pattern uses a combinations of Puff stitch and Wavy stitch (I am not quite certain ‘wavy stitch’ is the right name, but it produces a wavy aesthetic). To have a better idea what I’m talking about, check out the Sunglass case which also uses this wavy stitch.
The Puff stitch is fast becoming a favourite stitch of mine now. I just want to use it in as many designs as I can imagine.

As mentioned above, the earwarmer pattern uses a combination of stitches. It is worked in back and forth rows, that are mostly repetitive. It uses super chunky weight yarn, you will see some yarn recommendations below. I shop at LoveCraftscom, so if you will be yarn chopping there you can use Rose Obomighie at checkout to get 20% your order.
How long will it take?
Since the crochet earwarmer pattern uses super chunky yarn, you really can finish this in 45 minutes, maybe less if you are fully focused on it or make the smaller size. Give or take, this is a project you can finish in an hour to a day.
