I imagine the Fringes Block to feel like running one’s had through hair. Though the fibres have different textures, the motion of running one’s hands down the fringes mimics that of running a hand through hair. That action alone can trigger a memory (hopefully a good one) for the individual using the blanket.

To get started, I encourage you to read the introduction first, if you haven’t. This will give you a summary of what motivated me to design the Remember Me Fidget Blanket crochet pattern, as well as a list of all the materials you will need and each block in blanket.

PATTERN
Tip– on the BLO rows, make the last HDC under both loops of the stitch. This will ensure that the sides do not have gaping spaces.

Row 2: HDC in BLO across. Ch 1, turn
Row 3: HDC across. ch 1, turn
Rows 4-20: repeat rows 2 and 3. Do not snip yarn. Continue on to edging

Ch 1, SC 20 evenly on the side, Ch 1, SC 29 at the bottom, Ch 1, SC 20 on the side, Ch 1, join to 1st HDC. Snip yarn, weave in tail. (at this point, you may want to place stitch markers in those Ch 1s).
