Colour Block Crochet Tank Top Pattern for Boys
I love crocheting for summer, but this is my first time to make a crochet tank top pattern for boys.
Purchase the Printable pattern on Ravelry, Etsy or LoveCrafts.com

I always have so many project ideas that do not get to see the light of day before summer fizzles out, then I have to out them aside because more crochet pattern ideas are already brewing for the next summer. Oh dear, what can a yarn craft crochet designer do?
This Boys Crochet Tank Top pattern had been on my to do list for a bit. Good thing it has finally come to life, and now I desire to crochet more items for boys (and men too). This is one of the easiest summer crochet patterns you will find because it uses one main stitch throughout the body. You can decide to colour block or use one colour throughout the pattern, but I think it will be more fun to colour block. And if you are thinking ‘pink for boys?’ Who said boys can’t wear pink?

It was quite fortunate that our boys loved their crochet tank top and were in the mood to take some photos, but even at that I still had to do a lot of coaxing to make them stand still and let me tell you, those photos did not turn out good. When getting them to stand still failed, I decided to take them in motion, thus the jumping and bicycle riding. I think it paid off, right?

CONSTRUCTION
This Crochet Tank Top pattern for Boys is made from two panels that are joined at the sides and shoulders. If you are fairly new to crochet, at least you have grasped the basic stitches, you will find working the body a breeze. The only part you might have a little challenge is the decrease to shape the armhole. It is pretty easy to do though.
That is explained under the stitch/abbreviation notes and you can follow the video tutorial as well. It would be so good to see your version of this pattern. Which colours would you match? I am looking forward to see them all.

Dear Rose, thank you very much the little crochetforboys – I have two little great-grandsons (2 and 9 y.o.). What kind of size will be good for them, please? The boys are thin children, not at all stout.
Are you well?
I’m alone because my family went to summer holiday. But they phoned me day after day and I’m well, thank God.
Have a wonderful week!
Best
Marianne
Hello Marianne, For your 2 yr old grand, I would suggest the 2-3 yr size, for the older you could go up 1 size larger.
I hope you have a great summer. Take care, and thank you for stopping by.
