Purchase and AD-free version on Ravelry

These pockets were fun to make. I had been thinking of what to turn the C2C squares into, as I did not want them to got to waste. Yes, even though I made the squares as a swatch, they could still be used in another way.
Wonderfully, I realised later on that I could turn this crochet wall pocket into a bag, with just the addition of a button, and a string at the sides for a handle. So cool!
If you are new to the corner to corner crochet (C2C) technique, then you want to start here, because you need those squares for this crochet wall pocket.

This C2C wall pocket is not only useful for decorating, it is also useful for keeping items organised. Store books, keys, little knick-knacks inside. Hang it around your house, in front of your door.

SC into the SC st row on the flap, 2SC into each of the DC st rows, join to the 1st st. snip yarn, weave in tails.
Option 2 if you want to add fringes to your wall pocket
After joining the first side of the squares, right at the bottom corner, Ch 1, (SC in 4 sts, ch 1) repeat 6 times. You will have 7 ch 1 spaces. Ensure to mark these ch 1s for easy identification when adding the fringes.
EMBELLISH (you may find the video tutorial useful here)
Depending on the number of strands per fringe, let’s say 3 strips, Cut 27 strands of 10 inches of yarn each.
Take 3 strands, pass it through the ch 1 with a hook, secure strands.
Hang your crochet wall pocket in a nice, accessible place for your decor and organising needs.
